Michael Jackson's autopsy report has been delayed indefinitely, the Los Angeles County coroner's office confirmed late Thursday.
The postponement was announced after a meeting between the L.A. County district attorney's office, the Los Angeles Police Department and the coroner's office to discuss the progress of the investigation, the Los Angeles Times reports.
L.A. coroner assistant chief Ed Winter told Us Magazine he had "no idea" when the cause of death would be announced.
Court records released Thursday show investigators are looking for evidence of communication between Jackson's personal physician, Dr. Conrad Murray, and other health practitioners who treated the singer.
According to the records, investigators are also seeking evidence supporting a manslaughter charge and a medical infraction of "prescribing to an addict."
Murray's Las Vegas properties were searched under warrant by LAPD detectives and federal drug agents on Wednesday.
Murray said through his lawyer that he didn't give anything to Jackson that "should have" caused his June 25 death.
